San Diego homeowners may soon receive letters about a new city-endorsed program offering protection against costly water and sewer line repairs. As noted by Myles Meehan, spokesperson for Service Line Warranties of America, "It’s a significant amount of money that people just generally don’t have sitting around waiting for that rainy day."

The program, which already has over 10,000 participants, provides coverage starting at $6.33/month for water lines and $8.58/month for sewer lines, with no deductible and up to $8,500 per incident.
